YOLRED Uganda Hosts Music Therapy Program Event

On December 12, YOLRED, our global partner in Northern Uganda hosted a community gathering attended by several hundred people in the Gulu area to showcase its new music therapy program, as well as mark the end not only to 2017 but an incredibly active and momentous inaugural year in operation.

Since the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, women and girls living in the internally displaced persons camps face alarming rates of rape and other forms of gender-based violence. In response, the Goldin Institute partnered KOFAVIV, FAVILEK, the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) and its network of partners throughout Haiti to build and support a women-led, community based security platform in the displacement camps.
