Improving Microcredit from the Perspective of Borrowers

Khushi Kabir, Coordinator of Nijera Kori and partner of the Goldin Institute's Improving Microcredit project, is interviewed by Daljit Dhaliwal on the program Foreign Exchange on PBS. In the interview, Ms. Kabir describes the difficulties that loan recipients face in rural Bangladesh and explains why Nijera Kori does not engage in microcredit lending. In particular, Ms. Kabir highlights the face that many microcredit borrowers end up taking multiple loans and find themselves trapped in debt and unable to repay.
