Ananda Kumar Biswas has 5 years’ experience as a Peacebuilder and Researcher in Bangladesh. In 2017, he launched a project to combat online disinformation, online hate speech, and promote digital literacy, which received the UNDP Bangladesh Digital Khichuri Challenge award. He has been involved in several social and community development projects for the welfare of society as a volunteer since his university days. He is a United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) and United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) alumnus. He is a Rotary Peace Ambassador (Asia Cohort) and an Institute for Economics and Peace Ambassador. Mr. Biswas is also an alumnus of The Euphrates Peace Practice Alliance. Ananda earned a level 1 certification in Kingian nonviolence and conflict resolution from the University of Rhode Island. One of his research articles was chosen for presentation at the International Symposium on Radicalization and Extremism in Turkey, where he was invited as a panelist. In 2019, Ananda received funding from Plan International Bangladesh to undertake a Gender-Based Violence campaign on ‘Standing Against Rape’. He also works as a Child Protection Coordinator for Caritas Bangladesh at the Rohingya Refugee Camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
