Tina Augustus is the President of Elevate Services Marketing and Communications. She authored the book, “God’s Holy Spirit: Maturing Believers for the Building of His Kingdom.” Tina currently serves on the board for the Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce where her community team was recently awarded $1.5 Million toward upgrades and new installations in Columbus Park. She spearheads the South 29th Ward Participatory Budget Team, leading residents in Austin as they decide on how to spend $1 Million. She is former executive director of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Tina founded the Austin Adams Block Club Association, and Mayor Lori Lightfoot toured the block club’s event and spoke to local residents. Tina is the vice president of the Austin Green Team that support community gardens and community beautification in Austin. She is an Austin Quality of Life Plan contributor, and holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from Roosevelt University.
