In addition to his role as a member of the Goldin Institute's Board of Advisors, Mr. Shapiro has a long history of leading efforts to bring about immediate aide to threatened communities, most noteworthy is his involvement with the American Association for Ethiopian Jews (AAEJ), where he served as President from 1983-1993 and in his current position as the President of Friends of Ethiopian Jews (FEJ) - which he has held since the group's founding. Under his leadership, both organizations have been an advocate of providing relief, rescue and ongoing support to the Ethiopian Jewish community at large. Nate holds a degree in Economics from Northwestern University and is the Founder of SF Investments in Chicago.
